What does it take to bring a multifamily housing project from an idea to reality? The Mosby Street project in Richmond, Virginia, represents a major milestone for Module and our partners at project: HOMES. Nearly doubling the scale of our previous projects, Mosby Street is our largest build to date and our first multifamily development constructed to the International Building Code.

The Mosby Street project in Richmond, Virginia, represents a major milestone for Module and our partners at project: HOMES. Nearly doubling the scale of our previous projects, Mosby Street is our largest build to date and our first multifamily development, constructed to the International Commercial Code.
From early design coordination and engineering to manufacturing in our Pittsburgh factory and installation in Richmond, the project demonstrates what’s possible when modular construction is part of the development process from day one. Through thoughtful planning, BIM modeling, and close coordination across teams, we brought together the precision of factory construction with the expertise of local development partners.
But a project is about more than the building itself. In partnership with project and neighborhood advocate Urban Hope, Mosby Street is an investment in the community and a new approach to delivering durable, thoughtfully designed rental housing.
Building What’s Next in Multifamily
Mosby Street is an important step forward for Module. It demonstrates how modular construction can support larger-scale multifamily development while offering greater repeatability, precision, and coordination throughout the building process.
With our first multifamily project behind us and expanded capabilities in Virginia, we're looking ahead to the next opportunity. Whether you're planning a development for 2027, 2028, or beyond, modular construction can be part of the solution. Watch the video to see how we brought Mosby Street to life and what's possible for your next project.
