Module as Developer, Design and Build (General Contractor)
Utilizing modular construction, these homes were meticulously crafted in a climate-controlled factory environment during the winter months.
During what's traditionally seen as the construction industry's "slow" season, Module delivered and installed two homes on Pittsburgh's North Side. Nestled between existing structures on small 20ft-wide lots with buildings on either side, a pole in front and power lines overhead, the logistics of installing these homes were complex from the outset. Add snow, wind, and temperatures in the teens into the mix, and the task seemed daunting.
Yet, it was these very conditions that showcased the utility and resilience of modular construction. It will be hard to forget this set day as it stands as a testament to the adaptability and efficiency of modular construction.
