Open Position: Site Superintendent

Overview

Module is looking for a site superintendent to oversee day to day activities on our construction sites. You will be responsible for evaluating work of subcontractors, ensuring that work is being completed on time and to Module’s quality standards. You will be expected to create project reports that inform the team of progress or any project delays. This person must be comfortable providing direction & feedback to subcontractors in the field. In order to succeed, it’s important to know how to implement quality, health, and safety standards onsite.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Responsibilities
  • Oversee Day to Day field activities

    • Supervise subcontractors in order to make sure milestones are achieved.

    • Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.

      • Conduct orientations and safety meetings

    • Provide the Construction Manager with project updates on a regular basis.

      • Make project updates to the team

      • Ensure adherence to project processes (RFI’s, CO’s)

  • Manage Vendors & Order Materials

    • Work with Construction Manager to procure estimates/bids from subcontractors for on-site construction activities

    • Order & Sign off on material deliveries to the site, ensuring materials are correct and in good condition.

    • Manage stored materials on construction sites ensuring site safety.

  • Implement Quality Control, Documentation, & Inspection Activities

    • Ensure that homes are being built to Module’s standards

    • Attend modular factory inspections

    • Review and approve work quality of subcontractors using the following:

      • Checklists

      • Image/Video documentation

      • Report site progress and updates

    • Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities

Expectations
  • Be on the construction site on time and prepared

  • Be organized and positive

  • Travel to modular factory partners during construction to implement quality control protocols.

  • Attend project meetings

  • Travel between multiple job sites and simultaneously manage work loads of individual projects

Qualifications & Requirements 
  • 5 years experience in a similar role preferred but not required

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required

  • Associates Degree is preferred but not required

  • Ability to understand and read construction documents and drawings from architects, civil engineers, and other subconsultants.

Compensation
  • Base Salary Range: $55K - $80K

  • Equity Stock Options 

  • 50% of your health insurance premium is covered by Module
