Construction Project Manager Position

Module is looking for a detail-oriented and good communicator to join our growing company. We’re looking for someone who excels at communicating both with construction trades and clients. You should be comfortable making decisions on the fly and with the support of a team.

Responsibilities

Lead Module’s Construction Efforts

  • Evaluating / Assisting with scoping and Contracts

    • Finalize scopes and contracts with project team 

 

  • Project Coordination 

    • Coordinate all of Module’s on-site and off-site construction activities with subcontractors. This will include construction site visits, factory visits, set day. Make project updates to the team

 

  • Quality Control 

    • Ensure that our homes are being built to the high standards that we hold ourselves to and identify other opportunities to improve process and product

  • Documentation & Inspections

  • Client Communication

    • Organize bi-weekly project meetings

Engage in Pre-Construction Efforts

  • Project Planning

    • Review construction budgets, create estimates, source suppliers and contractors  

  • Due Diligence

    • Review surveys, geotech reports, drawings, and coordinate site civil engineering and infrastructure plans

  • City Approvals & Permits: 

    • Coordinate and submit all documents for zoning and permitting, addressing, and provide weekly project updates to the team and client

  • Pre-Construction Coordination with Subcontractors 

    • Manage the contractor bid process and coordinate schematics with project team (modular manufacturer, foundation manufacturer, general contractor, set crews, MEP subcontractors, and equipment delivery partners)

Expectations
  • Meet on-site and in the factory with clients, construction partners, materials suppliers, etc.

  • Travel to modular factory partners during construction to implement quality control protocols.

  • Work alongside other members of the Module team to educate and implement process and product improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements 
  • 7+ of years of Construction Management Experience

  • Experience as a Superintendent, doing QC, QA, and creating schedules

  • Experience in field execution

  • Must understand a construction scope of work and be able to hold subcontractors accountable

  • Familiarity with Pittsburgh’s Permitting Process is encouraged.

  • Ability to understand and read drawings

  • Basic Software

  • Smartsheets, Slack, Google Suite
